UptimeRobot is a good, popular tool, and for many people it is the right one. This page says plainly where Bionic Uptime is different, and where it is not.

Choose UptimeRobot if
- you want many monitors for free,
- you need SMS, one status page covering many monitors, or integrations beyond one chat channel.
Choose Bionic Uptime if
- you look after client websites, and a wrong "your site is down" email costs you a phone call and some trust,
- you want one plain email per real outage, saying what was seen and from where (see the exact email),
- you want to be told when we could not check, instead of a green tick.
