Freshping has shut down. What to use instead
Freshworks is closing Freshping and does not recommend a replacement. This page says what Bionic Uptime does of what Freshping did, and when something else will suit you better.
What happened
- Free Freshping accounts were turned off on 6 March 2026.
- Paid plans are no longer renewed: a plan renewed before 6 March 2026 runs to the end of its term, then closes.
- Free accounts could export their data until 4 June 2026. Paid accounts can export it for 90 days after the subscription ends.
- Freshworks says only to "explore other monitoring services".
From Freshworks' Freshping deprecation FAQ, last updated by them on 5 January 2026, read on 2 October 2026.
What Bionic Uptime does
- 3 websites free, checked every 60 seconds, forever, no card. 20 websites for $12 a month.
- Checks alternate between two locations on two different companies' networks. Before anybody is emailed, both locations plus a retry must agree within 45 seconds, on every plan including free.
- One plain email per real outage, saying what was seen and from where (see the exact email), plus one Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams or Google Chat channel if you want it.
- A status page for each website, to share with a client, off until you turn it on.
- Warnings before a certificate or a domain expires.
Choose something else if
- you need many websites monitored for free: our free plan is 3 websites, and other tools give far more (UptimeRobot, for one),
- you monitored servers, ports or APIs: we only check websites,
- you need SMS alerts, or checks from many countries rather than two US locations.
Moving over
If you are still on a paid Freshping plan, export your list of checks before it ends. Then add each website here by its address. There is no import, so 20 websites take a few minutes.
See it before you sign up
Watch a real website being monitored right now, no sign-up. 3 websites are free, forever, with no card.
